About Us

"US"- refers to my husband Matthew, myself(Linda) and our two young boys,Ryan & Logan, hence the property name "Rylo Park". I have had horses nearly my whole life, of all breeds and types, and my poor husband married them when he married me!!

We purchased our property "Rylo Park"  in Early 2008 for my dream of having a Small Boutique Hobby Stud, breeding a very small number of Quality Andalusian horses. We have slowly started to set it up with purpose built safe  fencing, a wash bay, two stallion stables with Night & Day yards, a safe foaling house yard and a Hay/Feed/Machinery shed, a round yard and two stables for horses in work. It will be constantly on the improve,with work always to be done. Over time we plan to buy more land to add to our Stud.

Our horses are handled with Natural Horsemanship techniques. We have a  regular worming & vaccination program in place, with the Farrier visiting the Stud monthly and the Dentist annually. We have a great local country Vet on call 24/7. We rotate our paddocks and yards,harrowing or removing  manure,spelling them regularly and  fertilising annually.We have a mixture of both natural and improved pasture, with good annual coastal rainfall. All our horses have constant access to multi-vitamin and mineral supplement blocks, with diet and nutrition being of the up-most importance and are fed individually based on their nutritional requirements, both good quality hay and concentrate hard feeds.

We plan to breed only a couple of  foals max every year,so that they are well handled and cared for. Our foals are Socialised in a herd environment, on undulating pasture developing healthy strong bones, lungs & muscling.

All foals will be registered with the AHAA or LHAA,DNA Parent validated, Micro chipped & Stud Branded,with a select few of our PRE Purebreds also  Inscribed / Volarated in the World Stud Book in Spain. Both of our PRE Breeding Stallions are Approved "APTO" in the 2001 & 2003 Australian Open Spanish Revisions by the Ministry Of Defence, Jefatura De Cria Caballar, in Spain.

We are dedicated & committed to preserving the classical & rarefied antiquity of the breed, with Proud Sculptural Beauty & Natural High Action, Breeding Spanish and Iberian Purebreds. We are keen to keep the older,original bloodlines that came into Australia in the 1970"s.

We breed our Partbreds to have as much purebred Baroque characteristics as possible, so the stronger the Andalusian characteristics in our  foundation partbred mares the better, to cross with our purebred  stallions giving the Progeny some Hybrid Vigour with "kind honest  temperaments being of up most importance".
