Wiltipoll sheep shed their wool in spring and do not need shearing, crutching, mulesing, dipping, or any treatment for lice.  Their wool has no value (only to birds who collect it for their nests!), but there are none of the expenses or problems associated with wool-producing sheep.  They are hardy sheep and quite fertile.  Our lambing percentage in 2011 was 166%.  Wiltipoll sheep produce tender, tasty, lean meat.
