About Us

Thorwood Pony Stud was established aproximately 9 years ago and is located in Yellingbo, in the Yarra Valley, 1hr from Melbourne City, Australia.

Our aim is to breed quality ponies, with excellent temperaments & suitable for all disiplines from the SHOWRING to PONY CLUB & everything in between.
With our selection of dilute broodmares, & our new Perlino colt, COLOUR is often an added bonus.

Our ponies are eligible for registration with one or more of the following societies:

• RIDING PONY STUD BOOK
• WELSH PONY & COB SOCIETY
• AUSTRALIAN PONY STUD BOOK
• ARABIAN HORSE SOCIETY
• NATIONAL BUCKSKIN SOCIETY (& various other Colour societies)

Visitors are always welcome by appointment.
