ABOUT US:
John & Roz purchased “Warravale”, Kandanga from John’s parents in 1986, and have since raised four great children – Wade, Kate, Nick and Brooke, and are now proud grandparents with Wade and Malina having Paige and Jaylen.
Our son Wade is now a qualified carpenter and working in Mackay and Kate is presently an apprentice chef at Southbank, Brisbane. Nick and Brooke are still attending local schools and enjoying their weekend soccer. Roz is now working full time at home, handling the massive computer and stationery workload that comes with such a large stud enterprise.
In 1997 we had our first major expansion and purchased some country in Central Queensland. We managed to boost our herd number to 900 head, but the travelling was too much to handle.
In 2002 we sold at Central Queensland and purchased an outstanding property just 8km from Gympie, plus we were very fortunate to lease three quality properties in the general district. In February 2006 we purchased the “Fernvale” Charolais breeder herd and the “Fairvale” Brahman stud plus a Tansey property to run them on.
Our herd now consists of over 1500 head including over 700 breeders either registered or fully registerable with the relevant societies.
We have recently purchased 65 Charolais females - good solid, French type matrons - from "Barambah-Dale's" reduction
